A Day in the Life of Our Interns: 
REGULAR TASKS
Greet participants as they arrive at the Connection Center and get signed in.
Provide support to teammates to run daily activities that are engaging and goal oriented.
Interact with participants, engaging them in games, groups, or other activities.
Create opportunities for skill-building in areas such as communication, socialization, and problem solving.
Provide encouragement to participants to foster self-confidence and independence.
LESS FREQUENT TASKS
Assist with intakes for new participants.
Plan and lead activities for use in groups or the Center.
Participate in team meetings to give updates and help set goals.
OTHER GOOD THINGS TO NOTE
Occasional light cleaning is required to help maintain a safe and clean environment.

A Typical Schedule Looks Like: 
The Connection Center is open from 11:00a-4:00p Monday through Thursday, and 12:00p-4:00p on Fridays. There are no weekend hours for the Connection Center. It is also possible for the intern to run a group or activity that would extend the hours to 5:00p. The schedule can be flexible and may vary due to activity or number of participants.
Once an intern is selected, we can finalize the schedule, according to availability.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, sensitivity and professionalism.
Above average written and oral communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to adapt to the diverse needs and abilities of program participants.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
You show up every day ready to be the best version of you and contribute to the team!
Preferred but not required, prior experience working in the disability field, or lived experience with disability.

Work ticket office window during walk up rush hours
Work ‘Will Call’ ticket window and assist with customer reprints
Work as game night cash runner for concessions stands
Assist game night promotional staff with set up, implementation and tear down of nightly promotions
All interns are required to commit to the entire season from November through April (including playoffs)
Interact with fans to provide a positive environment within the arena
All interns are to assist in other departments when needed
Other opportunities for hours include community events, player appearances and sponsor appearances
